Photographing Minerals and Fossils

Photographing minerals and fossils is more than just pointing a camera, it’s about taking the time to notice the small details that turn each specimen into a living story.

I aim to capture the natural beauty, structure, and crystal patterns of each piece as clearly and honestly as possible, supporting scientific accuracy, collector confidence, and visual impact. These images are ideal for digital catalogs, private collections, online stores, museum archives, and educational resources.

Using high-resolution imaging techniques, along with carefully controlled lighting and neutral backgrounds, I bring out every feature, whether it’s the fine ridges of a trilobite or the spiral chambers of an ammonite.

Each photograph includes:

Multiple angles to showcase the specimen shape

and structure

A clear scale reference
Specimen ID labels for cataloging and verification.

Plant and Exotic Animal Photography

Photographing plants and exotic animals takes time and patience. Nature hides its finest details in plain sight, and to truly see them, we must slow down and observe. To notice, to listen, and to read their stories through the lens, we as photographers must allow nature to unfold before our eyes.

My goal is to document the natural form, their untreated nature,

of each subject with honesty and precision.

From the delicate patterns of rare plants to the vivid features of exotic animals, each subject is captured using high-resolution imaging, carefully managed lighting, and clean, neutral backgrounds. These images are created to serve a wide range of purposes, including digital catalogs, scientific field guides, conservation efforts, museum collections, and educational materials.

Each photograph includes:

Multiple views to show full structure and symmetry
Accurate scale bars for size reference (if required)
Specimen labels or catalogue IDs for easy archiving

Full-resolution retouched digital photo: £50

Further required modifications: £15/hour

In case of larger number of photos:

£35/photo (10-100 photos)

£25/photo (›100 photos)
